Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced candidate for Real Estate Analyst to undertake design development and delivery of our projects. The MTO program is to train the young and experienced resource in how to operate in the UK market so they can leverage their skills that they have and are acquiring in the local market, at a global level. The successful candidate will work closely with other team members and external consultants to ensure the delivery of exceptional design solutions that align with our brand vision. This is a remote role, offering the flexibility to collaborate with our UK-based team from abroad however the successful candidate will need to have a very good understanding of UK Building Regulations and prior experience of working on development projects in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough research on commercial real estate markets, including trends, rental rates, occupancy levels, supply/demand dynamics, and economic factors that affect property values.
- Analyze and assess the financial viability of real estate projects, including cash flow analysis, ROI (Return on Investment), NPV (Net Present Value), and IRR (Internal Rate of Return).
- Develop and prepare business cases, feasibility studies, and investment proposals for potential acquisitions, development projects, and portfolio optimization.
- Assist in financial modeling, including the preparation of detailed financial projections for real estate investments, using advanced Excel techniques and industry-standard tools.
- Assess legal, regulatory, and zoning requirements related to real estate transactions, and provide recommendations on compliance and risk mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including legal, finance, and project management, to ensure that all aspects of real estate transactions are thoroughly evaluated and aligned with business objectives.
- Monitor and report on key market indicators, such as property prices, vacancy rates, rental yields, and market forecasts, to inform decision-making and investment strategy.
- Provide support in preparing investor presentations, reports, and documentation related to real estate investments and market analysis.
- Assist with due diligence processes for acquisitions, sales, and joint ventures, ensuring all financial, legal, and operational aspects are fully addressed.
- Support senior analysts and management in identifying new opportunities for investment, development, and portfolio expansion.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in commercial real estate analysis, property market research, or a similar role, with a solid understanding of the dynamics of the real estate sector.
- Strong knowledge of financial analysis, including the use of financial modeling techniques (Excel, Argus, or similar tools) to assess real estate projects.
- Experience in conducting feasibility studies, business case analysis, and preparing investment proposals for real estate projects.
- Strong understanding of the legal, regulatory, and zoning aspects of the real estate market.
- Ability to interpret market data, identify trends, and draw actionable insights for decision-making.
- Excellent analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work with large datasets.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and familiarity with real estate and financial software (e.g., Argus, REFM, CoStar).
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- A proactive, self-driven approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
